Berlin Food Week 2016

Berlin has gained a serious reputation in recent years for its food, and Berlin Food Week is the best place to discover exactly why. Berlin’s restaurants, foodies, industry experts and star chefs collectively will contribute and engage in a week of eating and celebrating all things food from Saturday 1st October to Saturday 8th October.

The central hub of the event however is the atmospheric surrounds of Kraftwerk in Köpenicker Strasse, Mitte. This is also the location for the House of Food event which runs for 3 days across the long weekend (1st – 3rd October), showcasing everything from the complex and high quality street food that has become oh so chic and the high end stuff too – the city is home to 20 Michelin starred restaurants, sharing almost 30 stars between them. Get down there and check out the food at Späti Deluxe, Restaurant Street and Actionküche.

Berlin Food Week events will take place all over the city with 50 of Berlin’s greatest local restaurants – including Sofitel’s own Le Faubourg Restaurant – participating in the City Menu (Stadtmenü). Customised menus will accompany the usual weekly menu and our chef has curated a special 4 course menu that you can see here.  Restaurant Le Faubourg is also proud to be a part of the Food Clash Canteen this year, with our very own chef Felix Mielke contributing his creativity to Französische Moderne on Friday night.
