Wall Power – Contemporary Australian Photography

Michael Reid Gallery has established a well respected reputation in Berlin since the establishment of its exhibition space in the city some years ago. Their exhibition programme features collectable Australian contemporary works and the gallery hosts up to 8 exhibitions every year. They have 3 exhibition spaces in Berlin, Sydney and Murrurundi, in regional New South Wales Australia, as well as attendance at art fairs in Germany, England, Scotland, Sweden and wider Europe.

Michael Reid and his team are at the forefront of bringing some of Australia’s best known and hottest artists to the global art lover. Artists represented by the company are regularly a presence at art fairs and exhibitions across the world.

Michael Reid Berlin’s latest exhibition will not disappoint photography lovers, with works from some of Australia’s most significant photographers featured. The exhibition WALL POWER is presented in conjunction with the Australian Government and is one of the closing events to the year long program called Australia now 2017, which has been held across Germany showcasing Australian arts, culture, science and innovation.

Featured artists include Bill Henson, Brook Andrew, Catherine Nelson, Christian Thompson, Deborah Paauwe, Destiny Deacon, Fabian Muir, Joan Ross, Joseph McGlennon, Luke Shadbolt, Marian Drew, Michael Riley, Narelle Autio, Nici Cumpston, Petrina Hicks, Polixeni Papapetrou, Rosemary Laing, Shaun Gladwell, Tamara Dean, Tony Albert, Tracey Moffatt (the 2017 Venice Biennale representative for the Australian Pavilion) and Trent Parke.

The exhibition is on now and runs until Saturday 23rd December. It’s open Wednesday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm at Direktorenhaus, Am Krögel 2 in Mitte, Berlin. It can also be viewed by appointment outside of these times.
